Dr. Paul Ekman discovered that there are seven universal micro expressions (facial expressions whose duration can be as little as 17/100 of a second). The seven universal micro expressions are:

  • Their nose crinkles.
  • Their lips pull up, sometimes making the upper row of teeth visible.

You see the disgust micro-expression when something smells disgusting or when we don’t like something or someone. It’s good information to have!
