How Can We Help?
Goal Setting with a Focus on Micro-Goals
Goal Setting, with a Focus on Micro-Goals
Did you know that when you reach a goal your entire body changes? When you “win” your body produces testosterone and triggers dopamine. Dopamine makes us feel good and gives us more motivation, prevents burnout, and re-energizes us. The most amazing thing is that your brain doesn’t differentiate between big wins and small wins! When you meet your goal, no matter how large or small, your body produces dopamine. Let’s take advantage of this knowledge by setting micro-goals along with our macro-goals.
Celebrate Achieving Your Micro-Goals
Find something that you can celebrate every day that makes you feel like a winner! Write a list of micro-goals (something that takes a maximum of ten minutes) and make sure to achieve at least one of them every day. Give yourself a dose of dopamine!
